Description[]

This activity is based on My Way English Communication II, Lesson 6: A Space Elevator and is designed to

  • practice key vocab
  • develop pronunciation and dictation skills
  • practice interview format

Materials[]

Procedure[]

  1. Each student receives either a "Superman" sheet or a "Lois Lane" sheet
  2. Students fill in the blanks for their part of the conversation (look where the arrows are pointing) by using the word bank at the bottom
  3. Students pair up so that there is one "Superman" and one "Lois Lane" in each group
  4. Students take turns reading their parts of the conversation and filling in the blanks in their partner`s half of the conversation
  5. Teachers read the dialogue together so that students can check the missing words
  6. Students practice dialogue at a conversational pace
